WTLC hosted two summer tours in 2008. The first explored the Chequamegon Bay area for five days in June, beginning and ending in Ashland. Topics covered though our series of stops included:
- Generational dairy farming
- Narrative traditions about growing up on the south shore of Lake Superior
- Commercial fishing and Lake Superior fisheries
- Washburn as an ‘eco-municipality’
- Wild ricing in the Kakagon Sloughs
- Language maintenance on the Bad River reservation
